Teens were cited and released for possessing BB guns.

Concerned neighbors called for police after seeing two teens firing guns behind houses near Dwight Dr. late Sunday afternoon. One caller thought they might be real guns.

Officers responded and found one suspect at an Independence Lane bus stop. The second tried walking into a nearby wooded area. He was ordered out at gunpoint. Inside his backpack were two BB guns, which looked very much like real guns. The young men were counseled about the dangers of having them within city limits and cited for their possession.
