DetailsMadison Police responded to an injury accident near Buick Street and Woodview Court, and a driver from a gold colored Pontiac sedan immediately ran after impact. There were several witnesses to the accident, and the suspect was described as wearing orange pajama pants and had stars tattooed on her face. One witness was even savvy enough to take a cell phone picture of the suspect, as she ran away. The suspect was later identified as Samantha Lovick, and she yelled that she shouldn't be driving as she ran into a nearby apartment complex.
The Madison Police Department did initiate a canine track, and after officers completed their investigation, they had a good understanding as to what transpired. This accident resulted in two individuals sustaining injuries, and both vehicles having significant damage. Officers were not able to locate Lovick until June 28th, at approximately 1:40pm. Lovick was observed by police near Walgreens on S. Park Street., and she had no idea why she was being arrested; even though several witnesses solidified Lovick as both driving and running from the scene.
