Incident Date

06/22/2014 - 4:13 AM

200 N. Livingston St.

Mason T. Koehn, 21-year-old male of Eagle, Wisconsin
CHARGES: Criminal Damage To Property & Disorderly Conduct

Madison Police Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Livingston Street reference a possible burglary. One witness stated that the forceful banging on multiple doors was sustained over a period of 10 minutes, and rattled the windows of the residence; leading them to believe someone had broken in. The officers found shattered glass on the front door of the home. Officers noted the residence had three floors, and cleared the 1st and 2nd levels, finding no one. After ascending the stairwell to the 3rd floor, officers found a broken door panel, and this seemed to be the most likely place the responsible suspect(s) could have gone.

Officers entered the 3rd floor apartment, and while they were clearing it, located a male, identified as Mason Koehn, sleeping on a mattress. After interviews were completed, it seemed as if Koehn did have some familiarity with the 3rd floor apartment, but his method of gaining entry was beyond that of reasonable; as he had everyone thinking this was a burglary. Koehn got upset and started cursing at the officers; as he continued to yell and called them idiots that were teased in high school. Officers took him into custody on charges listed.
