The MPD tracked down and arrested four of six suspects following a Friday night crime spree on the city's East Side. Officers had responded to the 5100 block of Hazelcrest Dr. for a report of teenagers – some of them carrying flashlights - entering parked cars. As they were investigating, another call came in from a short distance away. A 35-year old Ridge Oak Dr. resident had spotted teen with flashlights looking into mail boxes. When he yelled at them, one wanted to fight. The young men responded also threw rocks at the victim's car and home. One also broke out a window screen and stole the victim's iPhone. The teens fled, but were later spotted on Anniversary Lane. They were cited for theft and for violating curfew. One had a cell phone, an iPod, and loose change in his pockets.
