Mr. Marcius Lee, age 42, no permanent address, has been arrested on a First Degree Intentional Homicide warrant. The MPD believes Mr. Lee is responsible for the death of Mr. Robert France, age 46, Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Lee was taken into custody yesterday afternoon in the Chicago area.
Detectives believe the homicide is drug-related and that the victim was targeted for drugs and/or drug money. The deceased man was from the State of Oregon. It will be up to the Dane County Medical Examiner to release his name. Investigators are continuing to work leads. A suspect has yet to be identified.
UPDATE: The vehicle of interest (White Infiniti SUV bearing Wisconsin Registration 980WJN was recovered this afternoon on Madison's east side.
Detectives believe this was a targeted act of gun violence. The investigative team has not identified a suspect, but is continuing to follow leads at this hour. Anyone with information is urged to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.

On 07/19/14 at approximately 9:07 am, Madison Police responded to disturbance with a shooting outside of the Howard Johnson's on the East side of Madison.
A 46 year old male was found shot at the scene and has been pronounced deceased. Initial information is that the victim is not from the Madison area. The homicide investigation is in progress.
Police are interested in speaking with the occupants of a vehicle, a white 1998 Infinity QX4 Sport Utility with WI 980WJN. If the vehicle is seen please call 911 with the information, do not approach the vehicle.
Anyone with further information should call Crime Stoppers at 266-4016.
