UpdateThe victim, a 17-year-old from Madison, suffered an arm injury. It is not clear what caused it, but she drove herself to a hospital for treatment. Her car had been hit with bullets, but it does not appear she was the intended target.
A SUV, which also appears to have damage from bullets, was located near the scene.
Detectives from the MPD's Violent Crime Unit are trying to determine who the intended target/targets might be, but do not believe this was random.
No suspect has been identified.

DetailsAt approximately 7:20 pm, the Communications Center received multiple calls of shots fired in area of Fisher St and Center St. Officers responded into the area and found the scene of the shooting in the 2000 block of Fisher St.
At about the same time, a victim arrived at St Mary's hospital with an injury that is not life threatening. Officers responded to the hospital. There is no indication that this victim was the intended target of the shooting.
Officers remain on scene and are talking to others who may be involved. This does not appear to be a random act.
