(First update)

A full SWAT Team was deployed during this incident, which resulted in a peaceful resolution. SWAT Negotiators attempted phone contact with the suspect, Christopher Hayden, repeatedly without incident. The Armored Rescue Vehicle was deployed and pulled up adjacent to the residence so officers could continue to provide verbal instructions via a PA system. Officers could see a person inside the residence, although he refused to engage with officers.

After verbal communication attempts for several hours, Hayden began to yell back out of the residence towards officers at 8:10 PM. He was initially very agitated and upset.  Phone contact was ultimately successful. At approximately 9:45 PM Hayden voluntarily left the residence and met officers where he was taken into custody without further incident. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Charges Pending: 2 counts of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
