Incident Report for Case #2018-88056

Incident Type

Domestic/Family Trouble

Incident Date

03/11/2018 - 7:49 AM

Brentwood Parkway

Antwon J. Braxton, age 28, Madison
Suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct with a new domestic enhancer, bail jumping, and on warrants.

A suspect wanted in connection with a domestic violence call tried to run Sunday morning, and he made it nearly a mile and a half, but he could not shake the MPD.
It wasn't police officers who tracked him down. It was K-9 Krahnie. Krahnie's partner, Officer Jim Donnell, let his trusted companion get a whiff of the car from which the suspect ran, and Krahnie was off.
The police dog led officers from Falmouth Court, to a bike path, to Chapel Hill Rd., to Schroeder Rd. It was on Schroeder Rd. that Krahnie walked up to a gas station where the suspect was found hiding in a bathroom. He was taken into custody without incident.
Earlier, a frantic woman had summoned police to her home on Brentwood Parkway, saying it was a "life or death matter." Officers were familiar with a long history of domestic altercations between the victim and the suspect. He drove off prior to their arrival, leaving the car he was driving on Falmouth Court.
He eluded them from one end of town to the other.  He took off on foot, and tried to hide; however, in the end, he could not escape K9 Krahnie's very good nose.
