Weapons Violation

Incident Date

04/22/2018 - 12:30 PM

4800 block Hayes Rd.

Jonathon J. Taylor, age 28, no permanent address
Suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and felon in possession of a firearm.

Male, age 39, Madison

A witness said he was extremely disturbed and really shook-up Sunday afternoon after the driver of a car drove past him slowly on Hayes Rd. while raising up what looked like a "machine gun." The caller told police the weapon looked like an AR-15. He provided good descriptions of car and driver, and officers were able to locate both on Independence Lane. The suspect told police what he had was actually a paintball rifle. It was found on the backseat, and there was also something wedged between the driver's seat and the center console: a loaded 9mm semi-auto pistol. For that gun, the driver was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm. For his actions with the paintball rifle he was tentatively charged disorderly conduct while armed.
