Details

There was gunfire last night outside of the Citgo gas station, 2301 Commercial Ave. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

Witnesses said two cars pulled into the lot around 8:15 p.m.  People got out of each and did not appear to care for one another as there was screaming and swearing between those who were in one car and occupants of the other.

When one car load pulled out, someone from the other group pulled a handgun and began firing at their car.

Responding officers recovered many casings, some of which were in the roadway, causing officers to shut down a stretch of Commercial Ave. for a short time so evidence could be collected.
