Male, white, 6' to 6'3", wearing a dark colored baseball cap and long sleeve shirt or jacket.


Female, age 23, Madison


The Burglary Crime Unit is releasing a surveillance photo of a suspect in this case. The person's image was captured on video inside the victim's apartment building. Anyone with information on his identity is asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.

 A downtown resident awoke early this morning when her cat meowed. She quickly realized an intruder was in her W. Washington Ave. apartment. Her presence seemed to startle the burglar and he fled with her wallet. The victim told an officer she realized she had forgotten to lock her door.
