West side Madison residents may have been startled to see a lot of police activity in their neighborhood yesterday evening, June 27, 2018.  An MPD officer conducting follow up on this case spotted Sandy A Graham, a 30 year old Madison man.  Graham was wanted on probable cause of having committed disorderly conduct while armed in the original weapons offense.  He was also wanted on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

The officer attempted to make contact with Graham in the 4300 block of Wakefield Drive only to learn that Graham had fled on foot.  With the assistance of the Community Policing Team, Neighborhood Resource Officer, MPD Patrol and K9 "Slim", Graham was taken into custody.  The event began at about 5:10 pm and continued until 6:51 pm when Graham was apprehended in the 4200 block of Yuma Drive.

Graham's attempt to evade capture earned him another tentative charge of misdemeanor resisting an officer and a forfeiture for unlawful trespass.  Graham was found after he had secreted himself in an enclosed courtyard on private property.

The following was originally released on Chief Koval's blog on June 17, 2018 at 9:44 am.  There are now additions to that post which follow.
MIDTOWN: Weapons Offense – 12:10 p.m.  MPD and MFD were dispatched to a residence on Wakefield Street after a female reported she had been stabbed.  Upon arrival, officers discovered two uncooperative adult female sisters (24-year-old AAF and 23-year-old AAF) with stab wounds to their arms.  Both were transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.  In addition, five small children were present during this incident.  Investigation determined that both females engaged in mutual combat.  Both will be charged with domestic reckless endangering safety and are currently in custody.  During the course of the investigation, probable cause was also developed for a third suspect (30-year-old AAM) who initiated the disturbance.  Investigation continuing.  Child Protective Services was plugged in to assist with the children
Arrested in this incident were 23 year old Alyssa S Tate and 24 year old Abria C Tate, both of Madison. During the course of this incident, Alyssa Tate was reportedly armed with a knife, a scissors and pepper spray. The incident apparently erupted after a heated family argument regarding child care.  Except for the two involved sisters, no one else was injured.

The third person listed in the original blog post has not yet been taken into custody.  He is sought on charges of disordely conduct.
