Madison police officers were dispatched to a reported enticement incident near the Lil' Caesar's Pizza on Madison's west side.
At approximately 12:25 – 12:30 pm on June 25, 2018 a teen-age female reported an unwanted encounter with a 30 - 40 year old man.  The teen reported that she had gotten off the Metro bus and was walking on Watts Road near Gammon.  The man walked by in the opposite direction and said "hi".  The unexpected greeting was ignored by the teen.  As she continued walking across the parking lot she became aware of the same man who now seemed to be following her.  Outside the Lil Caesar's, the man stopped the girl and offered to buy her pizza.  He then grabbed hold of the girl by her arm and said something to the effect of "Let's go for a ride".  An unidentified passerby intervened, yelling at the man, "Let her go!"  The suspect complied and the girl was able to get away. She began running until she arrived home.
The suspect is described as a 30 - 40 year old black male, thin and approximately 5'03" - 5'05".  He is described as having a darker complexion. He was said to be wearing white pants and a black short sleeved shirt.  The shirt was described as having orange and yellow on the sleeves in an "African design". At this time, there is no known vehicle associated with this man.
Madison police are investigating to identify the suspect.  Investigators are also very interested in talking to any witnesses, especially the Good Samaritan who intervened.   That person and any others with information are urged to call, 255-2345.
