The suspect in this incident paid the delivery driver with currency marked with the words, "for motion picture purposes". It was after the driver had given change for the bill that he realized the bill was not genuine. When he challenged the suspect, it was then that a co-conspirator showed the butt of a handgun tucked in the young man's waistband. There were a total of three suspects involved. Each was similarly described.

The suspects fled when a witness yelled that he was calling police.

As this robbery was concluding, another delivery driver for another take-out restaurant arrived on scene.  That driver had been given the same address and phone number as the first victim.

Earlier in the evening another delivery driver reported having been paid with "motion picture" currency.  It is not known if these two incidents are related or merely coincidental.  See also case number 2108-239373

The Madison Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Ruskin Street regarding an armed robbery.  The victim is a delivery driver and responded to that address per the ordering party.  Upon arrival he was met by suspect #1, who attempted to pay with a counterfeit bill.  As the victim confronted suspect #1 on this fact, the additional two suspects walked up.  One lifted his shirt which displayed the handle of a handgun in his waistband.  The suspects then ran from the area after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.
