DetailsThe Madison Police Department responded to the BP Gas Station on Verona Road after receiving a report of an armed robbery with the use of a handgun. While responding to that location, police were further alerted to an incident of shots fired on the nearby street of Whenona Way (the 1900 block).
It was determined that these two incidents were related after the initial investigation. All parties had left the gas station however, including the victim. Evidence was located in the 1900 block of Whenona Drive that confirmed shots were fired in that area. From the initial investigation, it appears the victim (who is not believed to be injured) may have known some of the parties that were involved in the robbery.
This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with any information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Madison Police Department or the Madison area Crimestoppers program.
