Incident Date02/06/2019 - 2:37 AM
Address3710 E. Washington Ave. (Walgreen's)
Suspect(s)White female, 5'5"-5'7", heavy set, red hair
DetailsIn the early morning hours of 2/6/19 MPD responded to a rash of armed robberies of gas stations and Walgreen's that appear to have been committed by a common suspect. Armed robberies were attempted at the BP gas station in the 700 block of E. Washington, the Mobile in the 3000 block of E. Washington and the Walgreen's in the 3700 block of E. Washington Ave. While robbing the Walgreen's the suspect was able to make off with cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash. In all of these cases a handgun was displayed and fortunately no one was injured.
The suspect was described by clerks as a heavy set white female who was roughly 5''5" - 5'7" tall with red hair. During the robberies she was wearing dark clothing, a scarf, and a baseball hat with alternating white and dark colored panels. It looks as if this is the same suspect as in the robbery of the Tobacco Deals store in the 2800 block of E. Washington Ave. on 2/5/19.
MPD's investigation into these robberies is ongoing. If you have any information about these robberies you can provide anonymous information at Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or at tipsubmit.com.
