Update

The suspect and victim rent rooms in the same house. For unknown reasons the suspect attacked the victim, stabbing him repeatedly with a kitchen knife. Another housemate called 911. When officers arrived, the suspect was now calm and outside. He was cooperative with officers. The 26-year-old is in custody and being provided care for medical issues he had prior to last night's attack. He has not yet been arrested for the stabbing.

Details

The Madison Police Department responded to the 800 block of S. Midvale Boulevard for a disturbance. During the disturbance one male approximately 40 years of age sustained multiple stab wounds during the incident. The victim is currently seeking medical treatment. A male suspect approximately 26 years of age is in custody for the incident. The incident appears to be isolated and there is no additional danger to the public.
