Detectives from the MPD's Violent Crimes Unit have arrested two teens for first degree reckless endangerment after both were identified thanks to surveillance images that were recorded near the shooting scene. One suspect, Lilray K. Dean, age 18, was taken into custody when VCU detectives and MPD SWAT served a search warrant on his E. Mifflin St. apartment this past Tuesday around 3:00 p.m. A handgun was recovered inside the residence. Yesterday, the second suspect, Jaishawn N. Hayes, age 17, Madison, turned himself into police. Detectives believe the teens were together when one fired several shots at a 41-year-old man who was inside a parked car. He was not injured.
