The MPD is releasing a surveillance photo of the man found in Lake Mendota, as well as a picture of his shoes. We are hoping someone can identify him and call 911. Earlier information about his size was incorrect. He is 5'6" and 130 pounds. The man remains hospitalized.
The MPD is attempting to identify the man found in the water. He is white, 6 feet tall, slender to average build, 20 -25 years old, with dark short hair that is a bit longer on top. He was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and tennis shoes that are gray, black, and red. If you have any information please contact 911.

DetailsOfficers, along with Madison Fire Department personnel were sent to Lake Mendota, near Lake Street, this morning after a passerby spotted a body floating in the water. The person, a male who appears to be in his early 20's, was still alive and transported to a hospital. There are no signs of foul play.
