Shortly after 3:00 a.m., Monday morning, a resident of an apartment on Blossom Lane reported being robbed at gunpoint by two men who had bandannas over their faces. The victim says the gunmen were strangers, but had come to his residence with two men that he knew. Since the robbery, investigators have detained five persons of interest. These subjects were taken into custody at a residence in the 100 block of Rickle Road, which is located in Sun Prairie. A Special Events Team (SET) comprised of Sun Prairie Police Department, Middleton Police Department, and Fitchburg Police Department officers aided Madison Police in the successful effort. The persons of interest are currently being questioned. Detectives say this was not a random act, and the general public was never in danger. The Madison Police Department thanks the Sun Prairie P.D., the Middleton P.D., and the Fitchburg P.D. for providing assistance in this case.
