| What
are Highway Reference Markers?
Highway reference markers have been posted along the beltline, and along
portions of the interstate to help identify incident locations so that
emergency vehicles can respond faster. Faster removal of incidents
such as stalled vehicles, motor vehicle accidents, and other highway
emergencies leads to fewer accident related delays. Reducing the
delays on these freeways will lead to decreased travel time and safer
travel for all freeway users.
