The Madison Police Department has one Crime Prevention Officer, who provides individualized security surveys for homes or businesses as well as addressing other issues germane to property security. The Crime Prevention Officer also conducts presentations and trainings on personal safety and can provide information tailored to seniors and children. Additionally, the Crime Prevention Officer disseminates information on workplace violence and identity theft and is able to work with both individuals and organizations to customize training seminars.
