Gregor (Greg) is a Dutch Shepherd, which is a recognized working dog breed in Europe. Greg weighs 85 pounds and his brindle or tiger striped coloration is typical of a Dutch Shepherd. He came to the US from Holland along with Johnny (Officer Jim Donnells K9 partner). I started working with Greg in January 2005 at Northern Michigan K9 in upper Michigan. Gregs main function is locating. He has been trained to locate illegal drugs, evidence and lost or hiding people. As we start our career together, Gregs strongest area is drug detection. I have been with the Madison Police Department for 15 years, having previously been assigned to patrol, the narcotics unit, the Emergency Response Team and the detective bureau.
