  • Loose/stray animals
    • Call (608) 255-2345 to have an Animal Services Officer dispatched by radio to respond within Madison city limits. Outside Madison, call Public Health - Madison and Dane County at (608) 267-1989
  • Report a dead animal
    Please note: The City of Madison does not pick up dead deer. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is responsible for the collection of dead deer from the roadside. The City of Madison reports dead deer to the DNR when vehicle accident reports are taken, and deer are usually picked up within 48 hours. To report a dead deer call the DNR at (608) 266-2621.
