Share & Park Service In City Ramps

Share & Park is a service that provides a free parking coupon for commuters that join/form carpool-vanpool-bus-ped.& bike commuting options to go to work/home on a regular basis but occasionally need to drive when their alternative isn’t doable. After participants register with the Rideshare Etc. service, participation is verified and the first coupon (s) are sent to the commuter’s home address. The coupon (s) are good for one day of parking in any of the City ramps during your regular work hours and are valid until the end of the year of issue. To use the coupon insert it into the pay station. To register please complete a Ride-Options application.

Share & Park coupons can be purchased by regular carpool-vanpool-bus & ped./bike commuters for $25. for 7 coupons. After the participants register with the Rideshare Etc. service, participation is verified and the coupons are sent to the commuter’s home address. Make checks payable to the City Treasurer and mail to Rideshare Etc address below. A maximum of 7 coupons per 60 days are available for participants using mass transit, vanpools, ped/bike and park n ride lot options. No refunds will be issued for unused parking. Coupons expire at the end of the year in which they are issued.

Parking is allowed in the regular parking areas of the ramp. Share & Park participants are not exempt from normal parking restrictions. If the ramp is full the parking coupons can be used in any of City of Madison parking ramps. However, a parking space is not guaranteed. No participant receiving Share & Park coupons may hold simultaneously a parking permit from another area or have had a permit revoked. Misuse of the coupons includes failure to comply with the rules of the program, falsifying information, or transfer of a coupon to persons not registered in the Share & Park program. We also reserve the right to limit the number of coupons per participant. If participants misuse the coupons the coupons will no longer be issued to that participant. The goal of the service is to reduce congestion, pollution, and costs.
