Employer Services
This information is intended to help employers learn more about the benefits and services available for implementing TDM & Alternative Transportation programs for their employees. Employer support thru the Rideshare Etc. service, which is jointly sponsored by City-County-State government, is FREE. Or, employers can access and use TDM program materials available on-line from the website. Everyone faces a commute to work that’s just a bit different. From what time they leave home in the morning to the specific route they take, each commuter must find customized travel solutions to meet their individual needs. The more choices that are available, the more opportunity there is to give employees another option besides driving alone to work by taking an alternative means of transportation. As an incentive, the Federal tax code allows tax-free transportation fringe benefits like transit passes or parking cash out. Employers can save on payroll taxes and parking costs. Employers also benefit through increased employee morale, productivity, and an enhanced corporate image from playing a role in improving the area’s traffic congestion and making a positive impact on the environment. Working together with Metro Transit, The State Vanpool Program, City of Madison, Dane County, WI. Dept. of Transportation, The Clean Air Coalition, and public and private employers through out the area employers can choose from many options for their employees that best fit their preferences and circumstances. We offer the RidePro3 ride-matching service, which is the latest matching software available and centralizes commuter information into a single database of information so employees can find an immediate match interactively, at no charge or obligation, based on their specific travel circumstances. Employers can create login accounts for web access to enter their employees directly, if desired. Technical analysis and promotional materials are available to expedite setting up the program. We have worked with over a hundred Madison area employers and believe this can be a valuable work-place amenity for many more. Through these voluntary efforts we hope to avoid the more serious levels of pollution and congestion. Why not look over the information and see what the program can do for you? If you have any questions or would like more information please contact the Rideshare Etc. Program. To find out more: |
