Safety Town Information
Your child is invited to attend Safety Town 2020! Safety Town is brought to you by the Madison Fire Department, Madison Police Department, and the Safe Kids Coalition. Safety Town is a week-long program that teaches children how to be safe in their community. Safety Town uses hands-on activities taught in an actual town (a small-scale city with streets, homes, and sidewalks) to teach children about many different aspects of safety and injury prevention. Your child will even learn traffic safety using a Kett car! Safety Town is designed especially for children entering kindergarten in the fall.

Every day your child attends Safety Town, they will be sent home with a daily report. This report will give you insight of the safety topics we discussed that day, and also a report on your child's behavior.
Check In/Check Out Policy
In order to ensure that your child is going home with the correct individuals, we require the parent or guardian to sign their child out each day. Please be prepared to show Photo ID every day. If someone is going to be picking your child up instead of you, you will need to provide written documentation beforehand as to who that person is, and they will be required to show ID and sign the child out. Please know that we are doing this for your child's protection, and NO exceptions will be made.
Safety Town Disciplinary Policy
This program is committed to safety and holds the safety of all participants involved in high regard. Safety Town reserves the right, upon notification of parents, to dismiss, without refund, any student during any session for inappropriate behavior in which the Safety Town house leader determines that your child's behavior is detrimental to the well-being of other students or to the smooth operation of Safety Town.
