Meet the Author: Miki Knezevic, Behind God’s Back

Miki weaves the historical background with the accuracy of the times, plus her knowledge of history, medicine, and geography in her novel, Behind God's Back. Her parents were immigrants from the former Yugoslavian territories. The book tells the story of a young Serbian doctor, against the backdrop of two World Wars and the communist era in the Balkans. Meet Miki Knezevic on Tuesday, September 8 at 1 pm.

Non-Traditional Doll Making

Express yourself in Wendy Fern Hutton’s non-traditional doll making class using simple sewing techniques. Create a doll that speaks to your soul–an animal totem, a medicine doll or maybe a spirit guide. Use fabrics, beads, feathers, ribbons and sequins. Fall Dinner Social with Dinner - LGBT Senior Alliance

See and hear Lynette Margulies a on Thursday, September 17 6-8 pm. Lynette is not just a "jazz singer." She incorporates the feel of soul, rhythm & blues, gospel, folk and jazz in her vocalizations. Her singing reflects an authenticity of genuine honesty and heart. Her skills reflect impeccable timing with a sense of urgency in sharing a story. Calling All Photographers age 55+

Dane County photographers 55 years and older are invited to submit their photographs for judging during A Photo Affair exhibit, displayed at the Senior Center September 25 thru October 30. You may submit up to three photos for one fee of $20. Entries must be delivered to the Senior Center on Tuesday, September 22, 9 am-3 pm. Professional judges award prizes and ribbons.
