Vehicle Battery Recycling

Vehicle batteries come from cars, trucks, motorcycles, and boats.  These batteries are also called lead acid batteries. 

You can recycle your vehicle batteries at any retailer that sells them.  You can also bring them to our self help drop off sites at 1501 W. Badger Rd and 4602 Sycamore Av.  For more information on the self help drop off sites...

You may also encounter lead acid batteries in some computer, medical, lighting, or electronic devices.  The City of Madison sites will accept any type of lead acid battery.
