Volunteer Captain: Throughout day of event
- Volunteer captains will play an integral role in the success of Ride the Drive. As a captain, you will manage the volunteers in your area, maintain the safety and quality of the route in your area, and help coordinate communications. Volunteer captains are expected to be at Ride the Drive for the entire day and attend a training session prior to the event on the night of Tuesday, Aug. 25 with Mayor Dave. If you have any questions, please contact Brian Conger at (262) 483-7204.
Bike Ambassadors: 7am -11am, 11am – 3pm
- Bike the route making sure that everything is progressing smoothly and safely in your designated 1 mile ride zone. Communicate with Ride the Drive participants, volunteer captains and intersection marshals to maintain the safety of the route and enhance participant experience. At the start of the event and throughout the day, make sure that intersections and signage are functioning properly and the route is free of debris. At the close of the event, bike the route to make sure that intersections are ready to be opened to cars. Bike Ambassadors will need to use their personal cell phone for communication during the event.
