Ride the Drive Getting There

FROM THE WEST

By bike or by foot

Southwest Path
If you live near Allied Drive, Odana Golf Course, Glenway Golf Course, or Camp Randall Stadium, you can take this former railroad paved path.

Path along Lake Mendota
If you live in Middleton, Shorewood, or near Lake Mendota, you can take the path along the shoreline. Then take Langdon Street to Lake Street to State St.

By car

You can take University Avenue until it changes into Campus Drive, and then Johnson Street.

FROM THE SOUTH

By bike or by foot

Capital City Trail
If you live in Fitchburg, Dunn, Blooming Grove or by Goodman Park, you can take the Capital City Trail to John Nolen Drive.

Fish Hatchery Road
If you live in Fitchburg or near Fish Hatchery Road, you can take Fish Hatchery Road to the Wingra Bike Path.

By car

You can take John Nolen Drive.
  • Parking: Turn left onto E Olin Avenue and park in a legally designated parking space in the Bay Creek Neighborhood.

FROM THE EAST

By bike or by foot

Capital City Trail
If you live by Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Atwood or Williamson Neighborhoods, you can take the Capital City trail to John Nolen Drive and Blair Street.

By car

You can take Williamson Street.

FROM THE NORTH

By bike or by foot

Sherman Avenue / Yahara River Bike Path
If you live by Warner Park, in Maple Bluff, or by Tenney Park, take Sherman Avenue to North Thornton Avenue. Then follow the Yahara River Bike Path and Capital City Trail to John Nolen Drive and Blair Street.

By car

East Washington will be open inbound all the way to the Capitol Square. You can use the main road to get downtown.
