WisDOT High Point Road over USH 12 Bridge Replacement Project
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is developing plans for the proposed replacement of the High Point Road bridge over the Beltline. The existing bridge has a deteriorated, two-lane deck and sub-standard clearance over the highway.
The project will consist of replacing the existing bridge and approaches to accommodate four lanes of traffic plus bike lanes, wide sidewalk on the east side and a separate, multi-use path on the west side.
West Towne Bike Path Project
The City of Madison is developing plans for a bike and pedestrian path along the north side of the Beltline from the existing path at Grand Canyon Drive (Struck Street underpass) to west of High Point Road. At High Point Road the path would connect to the proposed bridge over the Beltline, cross to the south over the Beltline, and ultimately continue west to CTH M.
