Location(s):

Learn Tracks and Signs with Paul Noeldner ~ What's out and about at Owen Park in Winter?  We will look for Wild Turkey tracks and other bird and animal tracks and signs, and hopefully spot some of these wonderful winter denizens! Did you know that you can tell whether a turkey is male or female by how their poop curls? Enjoy hot chocolate and a fire after the walk.

Explore Owen Conservation Park on gentle trails through historic oak openings on a hillside with an Ice Age kettle and along restored prairies with beautiful vistas on this high point overlooking the west side of Madison. Co-sponsored by Madison Parks, Madison Audubon Society and Owen Conservation Park supporters. Free, family-friendly guided nature walks at Owen Conservation Park are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, year-round 2:30-4pm. No registration required. No pets are allowed.
