Bird & Nature Outing - Starkweather Creek area, February 16
Learn to Identify Trees ~ Nobody knows trees who is more fun than Sean Gere! An expert rope arborist and Master Naturalist, Sean will be happy to help you learn to identify different types of trees you see and share fascinating facts about them. And because the tree lose their leaves this time of year you are also likely to hear and see Woodpeckers, Black-Capped Chickadees and other noisy, friendly year-round native Wisconsin birds that Sean will be happy to help you spot and identify.
Outings in the Starkweather Creek area begin 10:00am at the Goodman Community Center, unless noted otherwise and are held the 3rd Saturday of every month, year-round. Outings include nature walks, canoe/kayak adventures, bicycling tours and more, and are sponsored by the Madison Friends of Urban Nature, Madison Parks, Goodman Community Center, Madison Audubon Society, and Friends of Starkweather Creek. No registration required. No pets are allowed.
