Rain Garden Planting! with Jeff Steele ~ Join Naturalist Jeff Steele to learn how Rain Gardens are helping keep Starkweather Creek and our Madison lakes clean.  Rain Gardens in our yards, boulevards and parks also provide important native habitat for pollinators, birds and other creatures. People on this outing will have opportunity to help the neighborhood plant a Rain Garden at Washington Manor Park, so plan on getting your hands dirty if you want to help!  Come any time between 10am and 2pm.

Outings in the Starkweather Creek area begin 10:00am at the Goodman Community Center, unless noted otherwise and are held the 3rd Saturday of every month, year-round. Outings include nature walks, canoe/kayak adventures, bicycling tours and more, and are sponsored by the Madison Friends of Urban Nature, Madison Parks, Goodman Community Center, Madison Audubon Society, and Friends of Starkweather Creek. Free, family friendly nearby nature recreation, no registration required, no pets.
