Bird & Nature Outing - Tenney Park, July 7
MSCR Pontoon Nature Outing with Paul Noeldner and Marsha & Pete Cannon ~ Enjoy a free family friendly Bird and Nature Outing on an MSCR Pontoon Boat! Join local Tenney neighborhood and long time Audubon leaders Marsha and Pete Cannon for a relaxing slow cruise down the beautiful Yahara River Parkway and along Lake Monona to Olbrich Park to look for birds and enjoy nature along the shoreline and on the water. Boat tours will be offered at 1pm and at 2:30pm and are limited to 15 people for each tour, first-come first-served, so plan on arriving early. Folks not on the boat will enjoy 1pm and 2:30pm walking tours of the Tenney Locks area and Yahara River Parkway to look for fascinating Cliff Swallow and Barn Swallow nests on the Tenney Locks building and under bridges. #DiscoverJuly
Meet at the Tenney pontoon boat pier at the end of the parking lot across Sherman Ave. from the Tenney Locks. Overflow parking is available across the canal.

Enjoy nature in Tenney Park along Lake Mendota and the Yahara River Parkway bike path through the Madison Isthmus! Free, family-friendly walks at Tenney Park are held the first Saturday of each month, from 2:30-4pm and begin at the Tenney Beach parking lot, 1300 Sherman Avenue. Co-sponsored by Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature, Madison Parks, Madison Audubon Society, Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association and Friends of the Yahara River Parkway. No registration required and no pets, please.
