Sculpting with Handmade Paperpulp and String (Three Day Workshop)

Date & Time:
Thursday, May 17, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Location(s):
Central Library
201 W Mifflin St
Madison, WI

Artist-in-residence Hannah Bennett offers a three day workshop where participants will learn to use paper pulp to make 3-D woven sculptures. We’ll experiment with natural pigments, and different kinds of strings. Each person will make at least one wall hanging and a number of smaller projects. This is a messy process--wear old clothes, an apron and shoes that can get wet. Bring geometric drawings (for ideas), an open mind, and a snack. Class series is Thursday, May 17 (6:30-8:30pm), Saturday, May 19 (9:00am-12:00pm), and Sunday, May 20 (1:00-4:00pm).  Call 266-6350 to register for all three sessions or online at http://www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/calendar
