The Wisconsin Film Festival and the Madison Public Library are proud to present WFF Thursday Night Movie Club - a series of Wisconsin’s Own features from the 2019 Festival. PLAYED OUT is 2019 Golden Badger winner James Runde's first feature. A day in the life of three quintessentially Madisonian musicians. "If John Cassavetes and Richard Linklater had joined forces and tried to capture the young and restless souls inhabiting Madison's music scene, they would have been lucky to evince performances as lived-in, and atmospheres as quietly melancholic as Runde does here" (WI Film Fest). Filmmaker in attendance. James Runde is an independent filmmaker and photographer from Madison, WI. His films span both genre and format, from slacker comedies on 16mm to family dramas in ultra-high definition. This event was funded through a grant from Madison Public Library Foundation.
