September 1, 2018 11:40 AM

Flooding concerns remain. As more rain rolls through Madison today, forecasts show even more rain to come. Lake levels remain high and the threat of flash flooding continue. Residents should keep sandbag barriers in place until notified they can be removed.

For the most current information, continue monitoring the City's flooding website,

Road & Bike Path Closure Updates

Note that as water flow from the Tenney Dam fluctuates, and as we continue to receive rain, road and path conditions will continue to change.

Capital City Trail

The Capital City Trail bike path opened this morning at the Monona Terrace between Blair and Broom.

Sandbags and pumps are being used to keep the path open.

In the event of an intense rainstorm, the trail is subject to flash flooding.

N. Livingston St

North Livingston Street is open north of East Washington Avenue. South Livingston Street continues to be closed south of East Washington Avenue to the railroad tracks due to construction

Please continue to avoid parking in low-lying areas, especially as flash flooding remains a possibility.
