Polling Location Change: Ward 82

Due to COVID-19, Ward 82's polling location has moved from the Midtown Police Station to Bethany United Methodist Church, @3910 Mineral Point Rd  Ward 82 residents should have received a postcard soon with this change, but I also wanted to share it early here. This change will be in effect for at least the August 11th and November 3 election.

WHy did our polling place change again?

Election workers discovered that the Midtown Police Station was not big enough to accomodate the 6 feet of social distancing required for safety during the Coronavirus pandemic. We want to make sure that voting is as safe as possible for voters and Election Day staff. Poll workers also had a difficult time with deliveries of supplies (like more ballots) due to the fact that the front desk staff often has to frequently be away from the desk for their daily work.
