Resources on storm cleanup and protecting yourself from the extreme heat

Extreme heat is forecast to continue in our area for the next 24 hours, but with so many power outages in Madison it will take time to repair them all. Here are resources on storm cleanup and how to protect yourself from extreme heat, including locations to two cooling centers in Madison if are without power or A/C. Please share this information with your neighbors and networks of friends.

Storm Clean-Up Operations Update for June 15, 2022

Today, Urban Forestry crews will be focusing on clearing the remaining reported street and roadway blockages. Crews will also remove terrace trees that were reported or otherwise identified as being severely damaged and no longer safe to remain standing.
 

Dane County Officials Urge Caution During Extreme Heat

Dane County is under a heat advisory until 8pm tomorrow. This excessive heat comes less than 24 hours after severe thunderstorms rolled through the Dane County area and caused damage.

Protect Yourself in Severe Heat!

Temperatures are predicted to be dangerously hot with heat indices approaching 105° Tuesday. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from 11am Tuesday through 8pm Wednesday.
