Busse Tavern Liquor License Pluic Hearings

A new proposed owner of Busse Tavern at 2005 N Sherman Ave has requested a liquor license. The city will have two public hearings to allow residents to express support, interest, questions and concerns.

• ALRC (Alcohol License Review Committee) Wednesday Sept 21 5:30pm City-County Building Rm 201
• Common Council Tuesday October 4 6:45pm City-County Building Rm 201

Mayor's Neighborhood Conference

The 2016 Neighborhood Conference is available for all residents on Saturday October 8 at Monona Terrace. There will be workshops, peer-to-peer conversation and networking and tours for a $15 registration fee. Registration begins at 8am and Opening session at 9am. Register online today.

RP Pasta

It is disappointing to inform you that RP Pasta will not be locating at the Northside Town Center in the former Kohl's Grocery Store. You might remember a few months ago the city approved a $800,000 Capital Revolving Fund loan to assist in creating a facility that would be beneficial moving forward. RP Pasta is still interested in locating within the City of Madison and could still find another Northside location, but at this moment they will not be at this location.

2017 City Budget

The 2017 Executive Capital budget has been introduced and you can view online. The Operating Budget will come in a few weeks.

Alder Kemble (District 18) and I will be working on hosting a Northside budget meeting and will announce a date and time shortly.

Police Chief Koval Community Forums

Chief Koval will be hosting his next community forums starting in September.  These forums are open to everyone in the community and give YOU the chance to meet the Chief, hear from the Chief, ask questions and to hear about our current initiatives. The district Captain and/or Command staff from each district will also attend their specific session so you can get to know them and hear from them as well.
