Nomination papers are now able to be circulated by candidates and must be submitted by January 2, 2019.

I do encourage anyone who is interested in being Alder in District 12 and would like more information about the role to contact me at lpalm@cityofmadison.com. The Council website also more information about the position.

The Avenue – 1954 E Washington Avenue Development

The Madison Development Corporation (MDC) proposal for the redevelopment of their 1954 East Washington Ave. property will be reviewed by the Madison Urban Development Commission (UDC) this Wednesday, December 5 starting at 4:30 pm. You are invited to attend the meeting, speak at the meeting or send your comments to Julie Cleveland jcleveland@cityofmadison.com to be presented to the committee.

The UDC will make recommendations to the Madison Plan Commission and the developer, but does not make any direct recommendations to the Madison Common Council.

Apply for Federal Disaster Relief – Deadline December 17

Federal assistance is now available to help individuals impacted by flooding, through the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA).

If your home or business was damaged by the flooding, you will need to register with FEMA, even if you have already reported your damages to 211.
