URGENT: Monday, February 10th (tomorrow), Plan Commission Meeting re: Oscar Mayer Special Area Plan

Hello neighbors, Thank you to all who showed up, expressed concerns and provided feedback at the public meetings on January 16th and 30th about the Oscar Mayer Special Area Plan.

Now that the final draft came out, the city staff are presenting the draft to the Plan Commission for their feedback and approval. If you still did not get a chance to review the draft plan, please take a minute to review it and share your feedback with me ASAP so I can take your voice to the Plan Commission meeting tomorrow at 5:30 PM. During that meeting, I will be opposing the opening of Coolidge Street to Packers Avenue, as well as advocating to protect the ecological system and wetland at Hartmeyer. Details about tomorrow's Plan Commission meeting are listed below. Also, you can review the agenda here.

Here are additional updates regarding our district, unrelated to the OM Special Area Plan:

Packers Avenue Resurfacing

The Packers Avenue Resurfacing project consists of new asphalt pavement, and spot replacement of: concrete curb and gutter, drive aprons and sidewalk, as needed. Utility replacement will include new water main and services with upgrades as needed to the existing storm sewer. This project will also include assessments to adjacent property owners.

Public Market

The Public Market project is going in front of the Urban Design Commission on Feb 12th for their feedback and approval on project design. It will then go to the Plan Commission for final approval on Feb 24th. If you would like to share your feedback, please attend this meeting.
