Galway Companies Proposed Project at First Street and E Washington

Dear Neighbor,

Galway Companies is proposing a multi-family/commercial mixed-use project located at the corner of First Street and E. Washington Avenue where Washington Plaza shopping center is currently located. The project as proposed would have approximately 344 residences with 15,000 square feet of commercial/ retail space that would include restaurants and/or retailers.

After getting feedback from the first public meeting and Urban Design Commission, the developer made substantial changes to the design and would like to present that to the neighborhood for feedback. Galway plans to apply for Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) for the structured parking component. It has not yet been determined if the proposed project will require rezoning or conditional use permits.

Please join Galway Companies' architect, Alder Abbas and City staff from Planning and Traffic Engineering for a second virtual neighborhood meeting on April 21st at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about this proposal.
