Taste of FEED

• Saturday, August 8 from 4:30 to 7:00pm
• FEED Kitchens - 1219 North Sherman Avenue

This event has a family focus. Kids activities will include hands-on pottery demonstrations, decorate-your-own-sugar-cookie instruction, scavenger hunts in the Kitchens, a fire engine from our own Station Ten, and more. The Mami Wata West African Drummers will get everyone moving.

Tour the Kitchen to meet FEED users and sample their wares. Food carts will be offering tasty suppers for purchase. Adults can sign up to win prizes donated by local businesses and kids can win school supplies just for participating in the activities. It's a party you won't want to miss.

Edible Startup Conference

The Edible Startup Conference is a three day conference to provide you with the knowledge and connections to help launch a food business.

The conference begins on Monday with the Summit and then continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with the Edible Extended - 2 days of in-depth, detailed sessions on August 24-26.

Hear from successful food entrepreneurs, connect with industry, government, and non-profit resources, and bring questions for some great Q & A.

The owner of 2107-2249 Sherman Avenue (at North Sherman/Fordem Avenue) has submitted his request for demolishing of the existing three commercial buildings and construction of 6,700 square feet of commercial space and 60 apartments.

The expected Madison Plan Commission meeting the proposal will be reviewed at is Monday August 24, 2015.
