Here's the latest on the Truman Olson project. 

The City and the development team of Rule Enterprises and Movin' Out are closing on the real estate today, with the City retaining ownership of the space for the grocery store.

I was recently informed that Luna's Groceries was not able to secure their financing to purchase the condo by the developer's financial closing deadline.

The 3rd Neighborhood Meeting for the Truman Olson project at 1402 S. Parks St. will take place tomorrow evening. Thursday, August 27, at 6:30 pm.

It's been a while since I've posted.

This is a busy time in the life of an alder.  We're neck deep in the budget season, requiring more meetings on top of our regular committee assignments, constituent contacts, and organizing we do around specific concerns.

You're invited to a Neighborhood Meeting this Thursday evening, Sept 26, at the Labor Temple at 6pm to discuss the proposed grocery store development on the Truman Olson site in the 1400 block of S. Park St. 

Yesterday was the deadline for responses to the Truman Olson RFP which targets the location of a new grocery store to serve South Madison.

I'm pleased to announce the City has received four proposals.
