Thursday, August 15, 2019 - 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

The first community workshop for Law Park is this Thursday, August 15 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in the Atrium at the Villager Mall.

Please join our youth ambassadors, Rob Dz, Mike Ford, the Hip Hop Architect, Park's staff, and the consultant team of SmithGroup, EQT by Design and Urban ASsets in Crafting a vision for Madison Lake Front for All!

Truman Olson property totals approximately 3.49 acres, is located on the south side of Madison near the intersection of South Park Street and Cedar Street at 1402 South Park Street. The RFP deadline for Developers to submit their proposals was August 9, 2019.  The following Developers met the submission deadline:

July 23, 2019 Summary Notes: Truman Olson/Grocery Store Listening Session:

The Truman Olson listening session was held on July 23, 2019 at the Labor Temple.  The residents attended the meeting and provided their email addresses were sent electronic copies of the notes. I want to give a big thank you to the meeting facilitator - Tariq Saqqaf, flip chart recorder - Dan Rolf, and all City of Madison Staff who attended this meeting.  In addition, thank you to everyone who took the time out of their busy scheduleds to attend the listening session.  The fast notes and discussion circle group notes:

Wisconsin's National Guard Bureau will be holding a Open House/public meeting in Madison to discuss a statement regarding the environmental impacts of F-35 aircraft.

When: Thursday, September 12, 2019

Location: Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center - 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, WI

Time: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

The completed draft Environment Impact Statement (EIS) connected with the possible placement of the F-35 aircraft at Madison's Truax Field. The EIS document identified low-income residents on Madison's east side as the most affected by the new aircraft and mission. The Draft EIS, which has been posted on the U.S. Air Force website, will be presented at the Sept. 12th meeting.
