Brush Collection Over for 2020

October 8, 2020 11:30 AM

Another sign we are heading towards winter

Streets Division crews have completed the final round of guaranteed brush collection for the year of 2020.

Residents should not place brush out for pickup again for this year.

The official start date for brush pickup in 2021 will be announced when that date is known.

Brush Collection Details for 2020. The final brush collection round for this year began on September 21.

All Madison residents received their final collection opportunity sometime between September 21 and October 8.

If you set out brush after September 21, and it remains on the terrace, then you likely set the brush out too late for curbside pickup. Since collection is not guaranteed to occur again this year, residents should take brush to a drop-off site.

Residents curious when their final curbside brush collection pickup occurred can go to and click on the Pickup Schedule button. Once on the map, enter your address into the field in the top left of the page to zoom into your neighborhood.

Click on the map and the "Last Edited Date" is the date when collection crews were last in your neighborhood.

In 2020, all Madison brush collection crews provided residents with at least seven curbside pickup opportunities. Crews collected over 3,600 tons of brush from the curb.

Guaranteed collection will resume in 2021.

More information about brush collection and all other Streets Division services can be found at the Streets Division's website.
