Summer Fun August - September 2021

CANCELED TONIGHT! - LIFT Leopold Event at Aldo Leopold Park due to the possiblity of another round of severe storms in our area.


The 6th Annual Madison Black Restaurant Week is August 8-15, featuring 40 participating vendors. For more detail about this annual event - here

Mercadito de las Americas - August 12, August 26, and September 5 from 10am-3pm every Sunday until September 5 from 10am-3pm. Don't miss Mercadito de las Americas, a multicultural farmers market, at Penn Park, 2101 Fisher Street.  The market will feature food carts, fun activities, music, and much more.  The market takes place from 4pm-7pm on August 12, August 26, and September 9; and from 10am-3pm every Sunday until September 5.

Ju-Ju's Block Party - August 14 from 12noon - 6:00 pm at Penn Park. Ju-Ju Block Party will take place August 14, 12-6pm at Penn Park. This years event will have a host of activities: basketball tournament, pop-up shop, food trucks, spades tournament, double Dutch tournament and a resources tent geared towards bringing homeownership resources to the community. :

LIFT Leopold event August 17, 5-8 p.m. Lift Leopold on August 17, 5:30pm-8:00pm at Aldo Leopold Park, 2906 Traceway Drive.  There will be free dinner at 6pm, YMCA flag football skills and drills, Madison Public Library DREAM bus, art activities for kids, Wheels for Winners free bike repair, a vaccination clinic and vaccine education, and free ice cream from Chocolate Shoppe.
